Re: Adventure Ride - Blue Mount 3rd route (Windsor) Sun Nov

Would I be welcome? I'm a sleeper DHBC member. Did a couple of c25 Waterfall runs about 2011, probably could have stepped up to 28. But it all fell by the wayside. Since then I've done the last 2 Newcastle Overnights on an ever-more mutated 25 year old racer, 173 km in 9 hours each time. and a coupl...

Re: Mid 80s Raleigh Panasonic

This is the basis of my Shimano knowledge: http://sheldonbrown.com/shimano.html Guess you guys are well familiar with the Sheldon Brown site. I have idea that while 600 cost was a big step up from 105 back in the day, practical differences with brakes, derailleurs could be minimal. Crankset might ha...

Re: Campag hub+cassette. Free if you have the tool to help

Interesting possibilities, but hub-width is my issue. 126mm for 7 speed vs. 130mm for 8/9/10. I can spring my steel frame 4mm open to squeeze the 130mm hub temporarily, or permanently by cold-setting - but I prefer to keep frame original, unstressed. Mr/Ms Utopia - I will probably take you up on too...

Campag hub+cassette. Free if you have the tool to help

Campagnolo Daytona (circa 2000) 32 hole rear hub + 9 speed cassette. Free to anyone with the campag cassette tool to help me take it off. I only want to use the rest of the wheel (with an old shimano 105 hub) so need this gone. Seems to be in very good used condition, but no promises. https://lh4.go...

Eclipse Cycles Campsie "Clubman Racer" 30s 40s

Apparently a gent born circa 1930 used this bike as transport when he was an apprentice. His neighbour passed it on to me in 2010, then died, so I can't follow that up any further. My internet research back in 2010 revealed no trace of "Eclipse Cycles, Campsie", the Sturmey Archer hub was ...
