Have Bikes, Must Sell

I've a couple bikes that need to go. My girlfriend doesn't appreciate that I've more bikes than rooms, I strangely don't see the problem... Regardless, I've started my own business and need the money, so all are (very) reluctant sales. As far as sizes go, I'm 5'11" - because of the different br...

Re: Tubulars - which tyres?

In my experience Vittoria's pop as soon as you look at the funny. Conti's are the way to roll.

None of the crash, but some of my shots from the C grade race;

A friend got some others of later races, including the U17 race. As soon as they're online I'll post the link.

Re: Ride for Life- Centennial Park - Sunday 22 August 2010

It was carnage. A few of the A Graders went through a fence at the top of that little hill, took then fence with them. An ambulance went blowing by me in the Corporate race too, didn't see what happened. I had two near misses with guys chopping me up in the bunch. Shoulder bumping is fine, but I had...

Re: Heffron Park 14/08/10

Older races at Heffron are on Facebook. I'm trying to get out to as many races as I can in the vain hope I might one day be a millionaire and can therefore afford some Zipps.

Re: Heffron Park 14/08/10

There were a few instances of balls on the track - I was round the back when C grade was coming through, a few of them shouting something about a ball on the track somewhere in the pimples. Plenty of photos again, and one of a dying DHBC sprinter in B grade... http://www.cochinos.us/Velocity_Media/P...

Re: Heffron 31 July 10

My site is www.cochinos.us though for a direct link; http://www.flickr.com/photos/velocitymedia/sets/72157624621344284/ I will be out at as many races as I can get to. My business focus is motor sport, though an avid cyclist I am just as keen on bikes. Will be out at the state road champs next weeke...

Re: Heffron 31 July 10

It was a good afternoon of racing, and while I wasn't out there on a bike it was good to watch from trackside, albeit behind the lens of the camera.

If the mods don't mind a bit of blatant self advertising I'm happy to post a link to where the images are online... Special rates for DHBC, naturally.

Bump. Right boys. The bus back, well, it's a mixed bag. Some have enclosed trailors, some don't. The bikes don't need to be dismantled, they're stood up with bits of cardboard and blankets in between to stop rubbing/bumping/scratching. As for what to do over the weekend. It's Adelaide, there's isn't...

The most frustrating part of all is that I've come to Adelaide, taking a month off, purely to ride my bike. 2 days in, on a roundabout which I passed Stuart O'Grady on the day before (okay, he was going the other way, but let a man dream) and frequented by cyclists, I was hit. She admitted fault and...

Bulli Pass peaks at 18% towards the bottom, so get your climbing legs on. It's also very narrow with no shoulder in the final 1km of the climb. An awesome ride, muchos respect for those that make it up that hill with 80km in their legs.

Yet another DHBC ride hit by a car

Yesterday afternoon I was out for a spin- the joys of being on holidays. I'm currently in Adelaide catching up with family and friends, though will be here for the Challenge Tour in mid-Jan as well. Most of the time you get good levels of respect and room as there are loads of cyclists on the roads....

Heffron 21-11-09 Race Report

Dulwich Hill rider Mat Cochinos was exhausted after coming last but one in Saturdays Criterium race at Heffrom Park. Making his racing debut the fiery red head was determined to finish with the pack, or at very least, not last. As the peleton rolled away Cochinos slipped into 6th wheel, holding his ...

The ride is pretty good, the trouble is getting back to the city. Those who aren't locals it's worth booking onto a coach for the return leg. I rode this years up to Angaston and got a bus back. Only downside it was about 2,000 degrees and the bus left at a specific time, so we were left sitting aro...

I've got a 705. They've got a pretty good battey life, and if you know what you're doing you can crack them in a couple minutes, so no need to purchase the maps.

My brothers has the cracked maps on it, I've put a basic map on mine but don't use the GPS so haven't bothered cracking my own.

I've got one of these Garmin things that tells me when I'm lost and allows me to control nuclear warheads from the headstem of my bike. I think it's got Space Invaders on it somewhere too. It does heart rate, cadence, speed, gradient, has a GPS and all that malarky. I got it because it goes beep. Yo...

We had a pace line going with a few guys we jumped in with on the way back, me having been dropped by the bunch and Chris sitting up to give me a wheel back home. We hit 68.2kph heading back in to Sutherland.

Sunday Bunch Ride

Hey all. Long time listner, first time caller... You'll probably all know me as the guy who drops off the back every week on the Sunday group ride. You know, white bike, all the gear no idea. That's me. Anyway. Thought it might be interesting to share some data my fancyshamcy computer (which is smar...
