Re: turbo recommendations

I've been using an older version of the jetblack fluid for ~6 years now and it's not skipped a beat. Mine came with a 1kg flywheel which i'd prefer to upgrade, but apart from that it's been fine I've got it set up with a dedicated trainer bike running a trainer-specific rear tyre and the only noise ...

Re: Thur Hills ride: anybody up for a 5:45 start?

I don't think it's *too* fast, but that's always a subjective measure. Two comparisons come to mind: The "East Hills Anti-clockwise" segment on strava is normally about ~52 mins, with an average speed of ~24km/h In the MC hills ride, I'm typically about mid-pack, which saw me in the top 25...

Re: Thur Hills ride: anybody up for a 5:45 start?

I ride with the MC guys on a pretty regular basis - Tuesday Lapa for a nice recovery ride from the weekend, and then Thursdays for the hills. They're a friendly bunch and wait at the top of each hill.. bunch etiquette is generally pretty good too.

Re: Central Coast via Palm Beach - Saturday, 10 October 2015

Thanks Paul.. I might actually head straight to meet you guys at Wattle/Broadway.. saves me a hill or two coming from Petersham!

But, don't wait for me if i'm late/not there.. I've still got a bit of jet lag in the system! :)

Re: Central Coast via Palm Beach - Saturday, 10 October 2015

It's been a while since i've been able to make a ride, so I'm keen, although will also opt for the Palmy return option (and someone will have to guide me back!)

I saw 5:30 at the square mentioned above.. is this the plan? Seems like it might be tight to get to Wattle St by 5:45am

Re: Husky100 Dec 13 Jervis Bay

Well, the rescheduled version of this is on Saturday. I've dropped down from the 100km version to the 50km version given that Capital Punishment is the following weekend.

I'll be down there in either my DH kit, or MC Cycles gear (Black with light blue stripe across the chest)

Re: Husky100 Dec 13 Jervis Bay

Hi Tam - I'll be having a crack at the 100km version. I normally race 50km, but given I've had such a poor year for training/racing due to work, I thought i'd stretch myself and try to finish the 100km in a reasonable time. I've raced the Husky 50km before and it's a pretty flat and fast course, unl...

Saw a lady riding down the Oaks on Saturday in a DHBC jumper - out with the family I think!

Hi all - First time poster, long time lurker. It was good to meet a couple of you on the start line of the 50km.. apologies, names escape me already! I'll be much more diligent to see whether other DHBCers are doing MTB races in future I did a brief write up of my race over on nobmob: http://nobmob....
