Wheels are round

I've ridden all the 07 races with the Spinergy wheels and so far no problem; no truing. The carbon 'PBO' spokes seem fine. However I do not know what I will do if I break one! Thus no experience in truing which has to be done with the tyre off: by holding the spoke end with a (supplied) little key a...

used racing wheels!

I raced and trained on the Mavic Ksyrion SL my Giant came with, then replaced them twice through accident payout; $1050 a pair. They then got slightly damaged in races. I would still race them but I like a second pair of wheels simply because sooner or later a wheel will be out of use and then you h...

Yes. I leave 6:30; Mona Vale Rd St Ives maybe 7. Let me know your plans. It is my favourite; the mood of this quite short race is often tense courtesy of the final climb out of Illawong Bay. I planned to put on my handlebar camera, as I did in last Sundays Beaumont crit, but I now think the course i...

need flesh card + rechargeables

Forgot to say that for the $160 you can film for only 3 minutes on internal memory! So I pinched the 1MB flash card out of my missus' digital camera and, bingo, was in business to do 32min in highest quality (VGA 640x480Pixels, 30 frames per s). I could do 400min in lowest quality 160x120,15fps). My...

Yes they are 24 to 632MB (Megabytes). I'm currently uploading one (72MB) on Youtube. But this one is not really exciting, just introducing the riders along the Princess Highway. Quite tired by the time I reached home, 154km on the Comp. My shootings are, put it mildly, crude but some downhill scenes are quite lively and closer shots than even the TdF motorcycle provides. Do cyclists pay for road use?

You probably know that I believe that fuel tax cover road costs only to a small extent. Furthermore I have never adopted the position that cyclists pay for road use by virtue of them also being motorists. [Simply because in my view a non-motorist cyclist is as good (if not better) a cyclist then a c...

cents per litre not percent

As we know, a reasonable amount of the cost of petrol is tax. According to Shell, about 30-35% of the cost is in tax, and part of this is GST, so the higher the cost of Fuel, the more tax you pay on it. Yes GST works that way but is collected by the Federal Govenment, and is only little (1/11th of ...
