Matt,
As Weiyun said, just put in the order free-format. We can see if Lindsay can add that size into drop down menu when he gets back.
We can check that you have at least one order in, when we get the downloads.

Faswad, Firstly congrats on becomeing a daddy. You will get out on the bike!!! Just remember when you buy the trainers, they go thru the rubber on your tyres like a potato peeler on potato skin. You will need a spare back wheel and use your old tyres or buy a special wind trainer tyre which does not...

You are all a bunch of pussies, except Michael C. So is RBCC, as is Easts and Sydney Cycling Club. I got up this morning, no wind, no rain, and some stars out partly. I left the usual time, but no one was there. So I headed out for an 80km individual time trial. It took me 45 minutes to actually see...

Tour De Royale - Queen Elizabeth's B'Day ride
God bless Queen Elizabeth. In honour of her birthday, how fitting if we have a Tour De Royale training ride on Monday morning. Rather than suggest a route, perhaps those who put their hand up for the Sub-Committee on Road/Track and Training, can decide the appropriate Royal treatment and post the de...

Re: Net out of action
Well, for some reason i haven't been able to get onto the forum or website since last wednesday or thursday, just in case you were wondering what happened to me. Seems to be better now, though i may dissapear again for a while as our connection gets upgraded in a few days. It's not your connection....

Here we go, Firstly, a big thanks to Al, Coral and Lindsay who made the big effort to go down and support James M and myself. Its great to get this support and shows the spirit of the club. James M and myself (who was driving the car when we drove by you guys) were the only starters given James C an...

Weiyun, Its hard to know but I expect it will go to about 9.00pm. Why don't you give Lindsay a call on his mobile (or me if you have my number - won't post it over internet tho) when you leave the city to see how we are progressing. The building is directly behind the CHinese Restaurant which does g...

Good to get everyone's thoughts down. That is how the club evolves based on membership demands, diversity and other risk issues. As we get bigger, we might have an opportunity here to look at 2 rides departing every Sunday. 6.00am through RNP (usually entering at Waterfall) 6.30am to Waterfall and r...

It's on again from today - half yearly clearance. Some pretty good bikes with up to 30% off (and and extra 10% if you have bought a bike there before). I got two different Bontager saddles. They are $9 each (80% off) and the ones they have on their mid to top end bikes. Descente or whatever they are...

I understand that in our club we have quite a few uni undergrads, many graduates, and some studying their doctorate degree and others with PhDs. We have some good academic capability in the club and probably could convert this discussion thread into a full research thesis. I'm pretty impressed by th...

I certainly think we should look at all the options and issues and come up with some guidelines. As cycling grows for all the clubs as well as individual riders, this will become a bigger issue. Some thoughts of mine: Tend to agree with James's thoughts above We could limit the faster return from Wa...

When Michael K and I, both of whom had been dropped at Loftus, were coming over the last hill towards Waterfall, we say you guys climbing the first hill back from water fall. There seemed to be a group of 5 or 6 about 50 metres ahead of the combined bunch you guys were in, and they were going much s...

James seems to be OK
For those on our ride this morning know James Fowler hit his head badly after a crash at Waterfall.
First report from Lindsay from hospital is he is in good spirits and having scans.
I've gotta go to the Swans now with the kids, but no doubt updates will be placed on this site as we become aware.

De Tour De France Film Night and Cycling Breaky 5th June
Guys, Our nation leading cycling friendly City of Sydney Council is hosting some events including cycling breaky on 5th June and an interesting film on Le Tour. Not sure if I will be going to the film at this stage, but maybe it could be a bit of a club social event for those interested. Details are...

I contacted Cyclecover and they advised that their insurance covers you whenver you're on a bike (including training rides). They also advised that as DHBC is affiliated with CA, the CA membership (and corresponding insurance) would probably be required by the club. So I'll definitely go ahead and ...

Alan, Great to hear you are a member of Bicycle NSW. Both James and I are members, and I'm quite active in that organisation and we need plenty of people to help support the cycling cause. One of the key benefits of Bicycle NSW is to offer $20m public liability and other insurances. Many people who ...
