Wow, I've learned something. I use this route everyday on my commute to and from work and I freely admit to being an imperious bell ringer - behaviour which I will now modify. Coming the other way, however, I will continue with imperious ringing because the flocks of phone obsessed brethren do meand...

Clubsters If you are interested in racing, this is a great race to enter - if you can secure an entry. It usually sells out in less than 30 minutes. Even if you are nowhere near race fit - like me - it's worth entering. There are always lots of DHBC entries and it's an easy drive down in the morning...

Hi Paul.
Glad to hear you're ok.
You've had a bit of bad luck with crashes. My last one was with you but that certainly wasn't your fault - or mine!
Stay safe out there people.
Hope the other riders who went down are ok too.

You've been most generous to the whole club. You probably could have stocked a bike shop with all the gear you've given away / sold cheaply.
But I'm getting in first on this one. If you have any spare cash sitting around, bearer bonds, gold ingots, wine or beer - I'm first dibs!

I thought that I would give an update about all those holes I reported around Eastern Suburbs. Resurface Bedford street. It's appalling. It runs from Liberty st up alongside the train line to Newtown station. It's full of bumps, ridges, potholes, manhole covers and is already a narrow road to navigate.
But in my opinion it's still safer than using Enmore road for commuting.
My 2 cents.

Andre, I use Swiss Stop green and just bought another set last week. In my opinion they are vastly superior to any shimano pads I've used. The most noticeable difference is braking in the wet. Any pad will pick up more rubbish in the wet. Especially after wet rides its important to check the pads an...

I've decided to rehash an old poll of mine but have added a few categories in the upper ranges.
I should add that if you use Tapatalk you won't be able to view or vote using the poll feature.

Cameron is the ride organiser and he should probably answer but most of us can ride middies pace comfortably and all of us are experienced going up and down hills at a good pace. I reckon this ride would be about equal to completing two Waterfall rides back to back. Without wanting to discourage you...

Saturday Eastern Suburbs Hills - Sculpture by the Sea
I was planning to ride the hills tomorrow, leaving 6am from the usual place.
With the circus that is Sculpture by the Sea starting tomorrow does anyone recall from previous years whether any road closures might affect the ride / route for the next few weeks?

In my experience if the item you received is not as described / ordered (or faulty) then you aren't liable for the postage costs. Other providers (e.g. Wiggle) give you a returns authority. In some cases you might pay the postage and have it refunded to you. In one case with a local operation I paid...

I'm always interested to see what the next 'big thing' is on the market. Di2 and 11 speed are all entrenched with pro teams using them to help bike sales along. It's interesting to see that many of the new releases from the big brands are offering disc brakes even though they are not yet UCI legal. ...
