It's too late for the King St bike lane construction but may be of benefit to this new project. They supplied either normal pedals with or without cages or standard Shimano double sided SPD Pedals If you wanted something else you needed to bring your ...

That looks fantastic... Was it cold or hot up there? I assume you mean on Ventoux? Very windy down low, up to about 1200m where every time we'd turn towards the South West (I think). the wind was cold and gusting strongly (just about stopped me dead on one stretch before we got into the tree line)....

No - we could have opted for a road bike (Trek) but they failed to tell us they had triple chain rings so we went for the hybrids as we wanted the triple rings for Ventoux. If we had known we p...

Our TV isn,t as big as Geoff's as its q CRT 75cm but we'll miss it all but do have the advantage of s...

Here are some pics from a sports photographer who was near the top. The bikes are Trek Hybrids. The wine bladder was deemed to be too heavy to carry all the way to the top. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3272/2594365977_ac05bc0e05.jpg http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3254/2595202264_c7bf37da9e.jpg htt...

Mount Ventoux climbed
Some of you may know that Jo & I are in France and have just finished a week of cycling in Provence, including a day where we did Mt Ventoux (1912m) from the Sault side (25k to the top) , being the easy side as the start altitude is 762m and the hardest gradient is 11%. The day was sunny but wit...

Powerade direct marketing to cyclists
Here is the text of an email I received today. Anyone else get one of these? My email address is visible on this site but not on the any other bicycle forum. I love the "your blog" reference - this is Marketing 101 I suppose but still it's a bit too direct for me - I don't know what to wri...

It would be worth finding out if it comes with the 2006/2007 Mavic Aksium wheels as shown in the photo, rather than Alex wheels described in the spec. The mavic's are bulletproof. Cheers, Alan OK - The bike doesn't come with the 2006/2007 Mavic Aksium's as shown unless you pay an extra $200. I know...
