Re: Wheel Upgrade - Thoughts?

Thought about RS80's? They will be stiff enough if you aren't a tanker (can I ask how much you weigh?) and are relatively light. Lighter than all the options you have thus far I believe. I know guys that are 80kg and run them so if you're around that range you should be sweet. You can buy these for ...

I find it interesting that BMC rode SLR01's for the entire tour, yet Cadel is holding an Impec up on that shot above. It seems that things really hurt after you ride a mountain bike for 18 hours - who woulda thunk it?! My hands hurt on the bars, I get chest pain when I put the power down and my legs... Well, what legs?! An easy ride reminded me of all of this yesterday. Luckily I am booked in for a massage tonight ...

It's not very long but it is a little steep if I remember correctly. Nothing that you won't be able to sprint over quite easily I imagine. It's basically an out of the saddle all the way to the top type hill - much like the eastern suburbs ones you would be used to hitting up, only shorter!

Re: Does a spin bike count in the km comp?

I think splitting out km's just to show what people are doing would be cool, but still have the over all winner the one who did the most km's on everything. Then you could have sub category winners as well. And the mountain points could be per 100m of climbing or something. I did 4500m of climbing o...

Adrian, I think you may have to take the crown for third place. My goal for May is done and now I need to concentrate on recovery!

Simon - since my event spanned both Saturday and Sunday can I be so bold as to ask for aggressive rider points for both days? ;)

152kms of a bloody hard technical trail at the Paterson Kona 24hr race, in which I took out the female solo title, and came 6th out of 23 male solo's. The course was very tough, not even the top guys raced the full 24 hours. Think I deserve some aggressive riding points for that... Especially after ...

Hey Mike when I used to do spin/RPM classes at V Club (they have speedos on the bikes) I only ever seemed to get as high as 10-12km per class (and I was doing it properly). Do you think perhaps that your calculations are incorrect?

Well, if you're Lizanne it's the beer, pizza, brownie and caramel slice diet. The brownies and caramel slices are really important for repairing muscle fibres after you smash it up Easter Suburbs hills on an 80 inch gear. Seriously, I'm trying to eat healthy this week... Beer and pizza is also really good... And riding your bike lots! So you basically eat some pizza, drink some beer, and then go for a ride. If you want to do anything beyond that to get faster you might have to find some spanish meat to put on your pizza.
