Re: Advice on new road tyre

Looks like a cut tyre, rather than blown sidewall to me. Could happen to most tyres but having said that, I had a brand new GP4000S blow the sidewall on its first outing to Slowies when riding over a speed hump. No refunds thank you. BTW, to avoid getting the train home, fold up a $5 note and place ...

Andre - you need to be definite about where you're going. There's a huge difference in time and effort between 3 gorges and the Eastern suburbs. Why not go for RNP - 90 k's, easy navigation, Waterfall in.

I'll be at the M7.

Marc is correct re the dragway, it's also not that interesting. Lansdowne Park is also fine for a first race, not as wide but no significant hills. You get to warm up on the track before the race and yes you sign-on and pay your $15 on the day. If it's your first race then take your licence as they'...

Doarama - map your ride in 3D with Terrian

There's a new site started (it's in Beta) where you can upload a GPX file and see you ride in 3D with Terrain. Ignore the percentages for climbs / descents as they're wildly inaccurate. Got some glitches but lots of fun. Check out the Alpe d'huez http://www.doarama.com/view/3648 - hit the rabbit ico...

Cycle Racing on TV

I'm wanting to bin our Foxtel subscription as it's way overpriced and funds the News Ltd bottom line. The main sticking point is no more Eurosport, which means no more access to season long every race cycling coverage. I've checked out Cycling TV but the races they broadcast in full are fairly few a...

What Eleri said Stuart. Beechworth is fantastic but way too far for me for a weekend. I have a rule that if the drive is longer than the ride then it's not acceptable (plane trips, on the other hand, are a totally separate kettle of fish). Hmm, Google says Berry is 139k away .... :-) Anyway, I'm en...

I would be keen to see the trike used by as many people in need as possible. If Ryde don't really need it maybe they know of another facility who do - maybe one in regional NSW. Weren't excess finds raised at the time which could cover the freight cost? If that doesn't work try a private sale - gum...

@Philip - try using a long piece of pipe over the end of your pedal spanner; or, do as I have done - hit it with a hammer (yes be careful but it does work) :-) Also, buy some grease for when you put them back on .. it will make removal far easier. BTW, you can lave the peddles on in most bike bags, ...

Re: Sun Royal National Park (RNP) Club Ride 6:00

This has grown into a fairly popular ride of about 10 plus every week and sometimes pushing 15 plus. There probably is demand for two groups, C28s and closer to Middies, and hopefully other riders from the C28s can start to join in rather than always doing the Waterfall ride. Hence the "C28's ...
