'Rapha Gentlemen's Ride' by name and 'Gentlemen's Ride' by nature. What a long, tough, hot day, but made that much better with the company and scenery. Our team of Philip LM, Andrew M, James R, Adrian E, Peter B and myself left Montview Oval in Galston at 7:25. Teams were being let go at approximate...

Thanks Mini-Dougie! Great report.
Don't be disheartened by your results. It's the first time you've ridden at Dunc so was always going to be tricky... I should know, I came last in everything my first night. To juniors 20 years younger than me.

Hi Rajiv,
Did I just see in the other post that 'week 5 is the toughest'?
Hadn't thought about pace. Peter is a lot quicker than me, as is Julian who is also thinking of coming. So it's likely to be middies with regrouping at the top of the climbs.

Re: Sun 22 Sept - Waterfall with Middies then RNP
Hi Andrew, Just for your info, we started a new ride a little while ago that left the cafe at 6am and went into RNP. This was aimed at faster 28's and middies in an effort to keep bunch sizes under control. Might be worth checking out the thread here . The other advantage of leaving slightly earlier...

Re: Spring Ride October 2013
It's a good day, but if you don't get away early at the start it gets very chaotic what with all the seven year olds and viewing of the panoramas. I'd go if we went earlyish in a slow but disciplined group just to make a good and very red point. Yes, I've done it once and there are lots and lots of...

Having broken a spoke this morning and being told they are out of stock at Shimano, and then being told Shimano can take up to a month to get more in, I would heartily suggest you buy wheels with industry standard parts!

Hi Anna, I'm not sure sorry! Not all races let you take out a day license so I don't think it's restricted to one a year. The reason for asking you to take out a day license is for insurance purposes in the (unlikely) event you have an accident. If you think you might race regularly it might be wort...

Hi All, SU Velo racing is on this weekend for Women's Grades A & B. This will be run as a handicap with B grade being sent off first with A grade to follow and then it's all on. However, an experienced cyclist will be with B grade for the duration of the race to offer assistance in race tactics....
