Re: C 25's Sunday 25th Nov
The rubber band effect was far more noticeable in the middies bunch on sunday than the fasties group I usually ride with. This could be to do with the larger numbers of the group. An observation if I may, on almost every occasion the front of the group taking off quickly from any traffic lights and ...

Well, my time reflects how I felt, very tired!!! I had a day to forget. From the start my legs were like jelly. A tailwind out and back would not have helped me. Unfortunately it was a headwind out! Put a 12-27 on the back. It will be the cheapest thing to change and it will give you a far more pleasurable ride without sacrificing the want to get stronger. Put a compact on the front and 12-27 on the back will make you a lazier rider (ie spin at a comfortable level without pushing yourself as mu...

Thanks Dougie. I'll give those two a call.
By the way, were you happy with your builder? We are also out there looking for quotes on an extension to the house which looks like being a medium to large job.
Cheers

Concreter wanted
Hi All,
I've been looking for a decent concreter to do a small job I have (garage slab). So far none have been interested. Perhaps I've been asking the wrong ones!
Does anyone know & can recommend a local concreter?
Cheers

Time would be about right and the traffic there was heavier than usual. Was on my return leg on the Ridley, wearing light blue Tibco jersey. Focused on traffic and apology for not have noticed you. I may have spotted Weiyun stuck in traffic on Sussex St leading into the King St path at about 8am. Didn't recognise the bike hence wasn't sure if it was him.

Saturday Night Marrickville Cafe
Walking down Marrickville Road on Saturday night after some yummy Thai food, we were thinking of popping in to the local pub for a beer. We stopped halfway at the sounds of Reggae and Ska pumping from a shop across the road. Was it a private party? We headed over to check it out. I barely recognised...

And yes, the new bridge is sooooooooooo much better than the hook turn or the dismount and stairs.

The ox rides a red steel bike. I haven't seen it up close so i don't know the brand, it's usually going a lot faster than i am! I'm assuming it's steel, the tubing is thin and has the basic triangles. He said he rode slowies about a month ago.

So my wife reckons i weigh less than the cat at the moment and a good breeze will blow me away. Does that mean i'm at racing weight now?

Finally got out on the bike on the weekend to test out the TT bars. These ones are a lot more comfortable than the previous set. Pretty good racing! For the sprints, it was as expected with Meares & McCulloch racing off for the gold. Meares got up 2-0. Both races were very close and their times through the heats were close to identical. Perkins & Sunderland raced off for the gold in the mens, with Perkins winning 2-1....

TT position - What do i need to do?
Hi All, After borrowing Mike's TT clip on bars, i have rotated the seatpost and pushed the seat as forward as possible. I have also raised the seatpost too.
