thanks for the advice. I just went down to Burwood Cycles and talked to the people there. I found them really helpful. Although there are no gaurentees with these thing I got my backside measured on the Specialized Arse-0-meter. 135mm of joy between those sit-bones. I looked at the Selle Italia Flit...

saddling up
I've been thinking about upgrading my saddle. The 11yo ripped and worn standard trek saddle isn't doing it for me anymore. Looking around at the saddle market is a bit dizzying, so I'd welcome any suggestions. Basically, I don't care about weight that much. Old school is fine. comfort is everything,...

I had this worry when I did it early in the year. From memory its around a 7% graident with no real jumps. its a very steady climb all the way up and is not as steep as the hill after Audely Weir. I did it on my granny which I think was 42/25. I found that cilmbed comfortably in the saddle in this g...

track bars
I've been thinking of putting some proper track bars on the apollo.
Hillbrick have some Nitro steel bars for $98 in 38 40 42 and 44 cm sizes.
Does anyone have any advice with the sizes?

Just a question for the Apollo/Raceline Record owners out there. Whats the size of the chain ring and cog(or was the size of the gear that comes with the bike?). I had a look on the webpage but couldn't see any details.

Race report - Heffon Park – 11 August
We had a good turn up at Heffron today. We had Michael McKennedy in E grade and Frank (Father Frank?) and myself in D. I’m not sure if there were any other DHBC riders in B or C but I didn’t see any jerseys at the line up. Maybe Rob may have been in amongst it. In E grade, Micheal came 2nd. I didn’t...

perhaps its just me, but there seems to be very little on offer in the world of shoes that are specifically for the track.
I did some googling and came across these:
Shoes
http://www.exustar.com/sk204.php
and the matching pedals
http://www.exustar.com/pt12.php
Any thoughts or other suggestions?
