Re: Adventure Rides 2011 - 6.30am Sun June 19th Bundeena
Are there any volunteers for the 14th August ride as yet? I just realised that the 10th July has been and gone already. Sadly, no-one volunteered to organise 10th July but there is the 21st August ride. Details are posted here in a separate post http://www.dhbc.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=...

Re: C25's & C28's to Waterfall in light rain
None of us got wet actually, kind of damp at best. Most of the wetness came from road, so as long as you sat on the front you didn't get wet or dirty :) I'm really glad I was motivated to get up for this ride. I had invited 2 people onto the ride so felt I really had to turn up. As it turned out, we...

Excellent to see Jo and Alison have their first ride at RAW in novice and find out that it is more fun than scary.
I beat that same kid in a sprint for 3rd in a 3 lap sprint. That was the only race I managed to finish, got lapped in one and lost interest in the other. Must get bigger gears.

OK - Mike and I worked out a new route last night that has several advantages over the last one: - It's pretty close to 160km - It doesn't make people climb Macquarie pass late in the ride and compete with motorcyclists or do a difficult climb on an empty stomach - It has a number of options for eas...

Others might have more idea about that particular pump & if you are likely to get replacement gauges for it, but I suspect if you had to pay someone to fit it, it would be uneconomic to repair. You can get a replacement dial for it and it's $8 (unknown currency). I wasn't sure if that was where...

OK - it's this weekend Sunday June 12th.
6.30am at the normal starting place near corner of Illawarra and Marrickville Roads. We'll head off with the bunch and split at Waterfall.
Weather could be dodgy so we'll watch and see.

This is part of the same route as the Masters Women's road race a few weeks ago. If it is anything like the day we road, there was a savage cross wind that beat everyone up and always appeared like a head wind. You might want to practice riding in an echelon. The inclines, although appearing small, ...
