Hi all,
you may be aware that a few months ago, we applied for a grant from Woolworths, as part of its Fresh Food Kids scheme.
The good news is that we were given $1,400, making us one of 1900 grant recipients from among 11,800 applicants!
The plan is to use the funds to acquire some equipment that helps us kickstart a juniors program.
In order to pick up the cheque, I was asked to attend an event at Woolies' Marrickville Metro store. Here's a shot of me doing the classic grip'n'grin with Paul, the store manager:

And here's another one of the assembled Woolies staff pretending not to be bored while I give them a short history of the club and say we have plans to make the children of the Inner West ride for so long that they will stampede Woolies and demand to eat everything it contains:

On an administrative note, we are under no obligation to Woolies as this was a grant, not a sponsorship. But we'll be sure to let the local branches know of our activities. (And FWIW, they sell gels and sports drinks )
Happy riding!
