Calling all DHBC riders to Heffron Park 2nd Sat each month!

As you will see we've had a bit of a rennaisance in people venturing out to Heffron Park with a whole new wave of people giving racing a go, and some less newer members getting back to it. This is on top of the regular track riders who used to criterium race, but are now quite busy doing the track circuits.

There was nothing better than seeing about 14 of us race in the Red and Black in the last race of 2007, across most grades even down to the juniors and get several of us up on the podiums.

So, whilst I encourage as many people to come out as much as possible, every week, I would like to designate the 2nd Saturday of each month as the one day each month everyone makes their best efforts to get out.

Why the 2nd? Well I'm figuring it is a bit much for some of us (probably only me!) to race on a Saturday and then do RNP on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month........

The big reason is that we now have club jerseys for all. :shock:

Oustanding. Is the club song the same as Drummoyne Dirty reds rugby, i.e. to the tune of La Marseillaise? (the national anthem of France). (Unfortunately, I will miss the 2nd Sat in Feb as I will be in Thailand/Cambodia 8-18 Feb for a wedding and a side trip to Angkor wat, hope to hire a bik at the wat). I will miss two weekends of riding - this is not good at all :roll:

Hey Geoff,

You said that on the second Saturday of the month we should go to HP which I did however the number of DH riders was down to 6 from the record of 14 last year.


Calling all DH riders again to come on down to HP on the second Saturday of the month.
