Another aero-bar question....!

I was looking at getting new aero-bars, since mine are dodgy and I think illegal on the track. I would also like (if possible) to use the same aero-bars on my road bike. The complication is that my road bike (a Felt AR4) has 'aero handlebars', so the handlebars aren't cylindrical and I can't just clip on the usual aero-bars.

Is there any solution? Or would I have to get two sets of aero-bars, one for the road bike and the other for the track? Thanks!

Perhaps replace the handle bars on the felt? A lot of the oval bars have 'clamp here' round bits on them for attaching aero bars, have you checked for this?

Thanks for the reply!

They do have round bits, but with the stem there is not enough room to attach aero-bars. Im a bit
unsure about what is the best way in terms of function + money to go about having TT bars for both
the track and road :(

The bars on my road bike are oval, but they are circular at the stem and my clip-ons, or should I say both pairs of clip-ons attach right next to the stem on the round bit.

Your road bars might not be compatible with clip-ons at all..

Probably the best way around this would be to replace them with something appropriate, and buy a set of clip-ons that fit both your track bike and new road bike bars. May even be cheaper then two sets of clip-ons as road bars are a little more competitively priced. If you get roughly the same dimensions the changeover is straight forward (allen key and some new bar tape..)

Great thanks guys. Sounds promising Mike :) I'll take the bikes into the shop and see what fits. Cheers.
