Bugger...I have just heard from my spies out at Doll's point that it is raining fairly consistantly up there. Weather says showers will only be during the morning though. Anyone fancy a ride later on in the day if the weather is better? Was hanging out to do Waterfall today.

Depending on how much work I get done during the day, may take a ride out to the CP/La Perouse in the late afternoon. Don't like mixing it with traffic on the Waterfall route after mid-morning.

I have never been out to Waterfall late, and I know the traffic is bad. I don't really know many other routes around Sydney without traffic that I can risk riding out on my own. I guess I will ride some where in the afternoon too when the weather is nicer.

Depending on your comfort level, the flat road to Kurnell is usually cyclist friendly with limited traffic during busy traffic times. The climb up to Cape Solander will offer up a very nice view over the Pacific along with a decent challenge at pace. You can do a few repeats. ;)

Hey Anthony...is this Bianci Anthony?? Still raining now....did you want to ride some where this arvo?...You may have to wait for me at hills etc, but at least I know I can stick close to you for majority of the ride.

Not the bianchi Anthony, i'm the one that went to Melbourne with Gi and Tomas. I'm pretty keen on riding today, don't care when or where i'm up for it.

OK different Anthony..your too fast. The other Anthony is fast too but I know he doesn't mind waiting back for me. Thanks anyway, don't want to hold you back. I might have to settle for a solo ride, but it looks like the rain isn't going to stop anyway.

The radar shows no rain for quite some time. so might be good to head out as soon as possible. I'll probably leave Marrickville and head out to Waterfall at around 12:45 - 1:00. If you see me out there give us a wave.

Tomas is in for a cruisy ride too. He said he 1:30 is good because he hasn't eaten yet. Did you want to meet infront of Mick Mazza's?

Ok I will meet you both at MIck Mazza's at 1.30. I know Cruisy for you guys might mean intensity for me, but as long as we stay together getting out of the city...I'd be happy. If you guys want to pump up the speed once we get past sutherland etc...I know the way and can meet you at Servo and cut it short. Is that cool? I will of course try and stay on with you guys as long as I can.

That's cool, we'll just stick together the whole way, probably safer that way. Don't know what traffic at this time is like, but i guess it can't be worse than a weekday.

Thanks Tomas and Anthony for the ride today, it was great to get out and I appreciate you guys staying at my pace. It is amazing how easy a 29.5km/ average seems when your drafting 99.9% of the time. I would do a cruisy ride with you guys any day. See you at track on Wednesday.

It wasn't great but I felt safer riding with Anthony and Tomas. Anthony got clipped by a car who turned right as we came from the other direction straight ahead close to Miranda. The guy was flying and was never going to stop for us. Luckily he only clipped Anthony and he managed to keep the bike upright and no damage.
