Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.

Came 2nd in D grade. Only 3 of the starters made it to the finish together on a hot and windy day. I broke away half way through last lap and was well ahead when I hit the huge B grade bunch, and had to get on the grass to go around them. A rider from RBCC then caught me, and just beat me in the sprint.

Mark and Amy were in C grade, with Mark on his singlespeed. He finished in the top ten.

That's pretty impressive result after all that riding in the morning!

did you do waterfall in the morning? good work! i used to try and do coluzzi in the morning, then b or a grade in the arvo, suposedly all the A graders were doing some thing similar? it never really worked for me in the rankings, i could maybe get top 5 in b grade, but not a podium, and it just meant less laps in a before i got dropped!

Nope - just La Perouse, then back to Centennial, then Weiyun and I rode through town and over the Anzac Bridge. Weiyun pushed me over a couple of laps at Centennial which was good (as I'd done no training all week) and loosened up the legs nicely for Heffron. I'll give it another go this Saturday.
