Hi, this is purely a thread to test demand.

A couple of people have approached me who due to weekly Sunday commitments are not able to do Waterfall rides. I may also fall into this category with Sunday AFL commitments with my son, but am yet to see the Winter play schedule.

Are there people who are interested in Saturday rides to Waterfall leaving at 6.30am. This would not be appropriate for C25s, and likely to be a combined C28 to Middies pace (but will depend on likely mix of participants).

Saturday is much busier on the road, so leaving at 6.15 and getting back just after Slowies arrive from the Park is another potential start time.

This is not meant to replace, nor interfer with the very popular Saturday Slowies. For those Waterfall die hards who can't normally ride on Sunday's or are in serious training.

Interest please?

I would be interested in this for the times I can't go on SUnday. Stu and I have done Waterfall on Saturdays and the roads are a lot busier but still manageable, especially in a group.

Yes me too.
Can't do it this weekend, but I'd love to do a saturday waterfall ride and hopefully time it so we can still meet at the cafe with the slowies ride.

Just to confirm I'll be riding to waterfall in the morning. Leaving marrickville at 6:15am. Althought its not an official club ride, feel free to join me. I'll be riding out middies-ish pace... whatever that is these days : )

yes and no....yes it has hills and no I would guess you might have problems (unless you're alex or mike then you would laugh at me and ride away peddling like a three legged hamster on a wheel)

I am starting early as I have to get 120k in before the traffic gets stupid, maybe next week :)

Waaaaaa!
no one was ther @ 6:15... so i sprinted home, got my swim gear, found Lindsay and Suzie going to slowies, missed all the excitement with the car, was heading to the pool when i ran into a few guys that i haven't ridden with in ages. they were going to wollongong, so being in the mood for a ride and not a swim i decided to join them.
went to wollongong and back... good training but man i felt it sunday @ skating.

i can't do waterfall this saturday... but how about we try it again the week after 12/3?

Sorry Lizanne, thats my fault. I slept through my alarm and roled out at 6:30. i didn't think anyone else was going so I ended up riding straight down the hwy. Did run into Julio on the return run.

What do you mean you get lost after the bridge??? its one road deary how could you get lost?:P Over Captain Cook Bridge (linking san souci to taren point) you just keep riding up the road past the schools (Endevour of your right and Carinbah on your left) to the top of the hill. Turn right at the lights then vear (sp?) left after the Sutherland hospital (not turn left that would be silly) following the Kingsway up to the Princes highway. Follow that up past the car dealership set of lights then vear left into sutherland onto the old princes highway...if you get lost then its your own fault lol.

LOL - Finally some one more geographically challenged than me. But I guess as a skater Lizanne you usually only have to go around in circles. Sorry - I had to chuck that in.

With Absolutely 80's on at Canterbury RSL this Sat night I won't be fresh for Sunday, so I'm a definite maybe for tomorrow morning.

Is there still any genuine interest in Saturday Waterfall rides? I'm keen to shift some Easter kg's with extra training. I'm out for the next few Saturday's. If there is a small bunch I'd like to be in the loop for Saturday 14th May onward.

Cheers,

Noel
