Clip on Aero Bars- Any suggestions?

After competing in triathlons for the last couple of years I feel it neccessary to purchase some aero bars for my road bike. This is partly down to the fact that I am in a minority without them (and feel left out) and I am intrigued to how much difference they will make to my speed.

I have done some research and am considering the Profile Design carbon range. Either T1 Plus Viper or T2 Plus Cobra.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

no suggestions, though if you had asked me at the start of your triathlon career how to start your cycling I would have told you to get aero bars then!!!

Doesn't look like anyone uses them at DHBC! Perhaps I should have used them from the start... but I have enjoyed overtaking a few of those with aero bars whilst on my modest road bike. Thanks for the advice Tim!

Most of the racing riders have them.

What counts is getting your torso and arms into the correct position. And a number of factors are involved.

I use the T2+ bars. I think they're a good bet, I've seen them recommended before and would second that. They're very flexible in terms of setup and not too expensive. Make sure you're happy with the wrist position they offer though.

Cool, thanks for that. I have read that some people struggle with the aggressive position of the T2+. The Viper has ski pole ends which look more comfortable but you will never know until you try them...
