Hi All,

Does anyone from the club usually head up to this event or have been in the past? There aren't many hill climbing TT's around so i was considering heading out. I see there are also criteriums on in conjunction to the hill climb plus a cyclo sportif on the next day.

I don't think anyone from the club has done this.

Must admit every year I've thought about doing it

hi

If it's of any interest, i ride with sydney uni- I've done the hill climb a couple of times- it's at the back of the track- about 5kms- first km is easy as is lost on top- middle 3 in-between a little hard- 10 minutes of pain! If any of you guys did chequers Hill down in Adelaide you can do this - ride itself on the sunday is great- 120 and this year 160 means you catch a big hill 25k from finish- 70kms and you miss- a great day- the crit is hard - heffron park Tuesday night standard- maybe bit higher..

Did the hillclimb today. It was tough to keep the power going once cresting the climb to accelerate to the finish line. Haven't been feeling great the last few weeks but still happy enough with my time. Achieved sub 11mins which placed me 10th in my category. The winner of my category achieved the 3rd fastest time of the day, 2nd place had the 6th. Both would have silver and bronze in the elite!

Saw some junior dh riders about. One of the 17s posted a very sharp time!

Overall winner came from the elite men, posting the only sub 9 min climb today.

The results for both are up http://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/default.asp?Page=46277

Criterium
U17 was Bill Bolton
Div 1 Bradley Mills

Our other rider was Tom Bolton who came 11 in the U15.

Congratulations to all 3 in the Criterium.

And well done to you too Simon! And to Chris Hageman who did indeed post the fastest DHBC time on the day.
