Cycling NSW announced their Road Series and 2011 Cyclist of the Year last night at the AGM.

Big congratulations to Matt Wallman who is NSW cyclist of the year Masters 1.

Well I went out to Dunc last night to attend the Cyclist of the Year awards. The National Junior Track Series was finishing as we arrived so we checked that out for almost an hour and saw Tom Bolton go around. Cycling NSW put on some food and drinks and all of the award winners received their trophies. If you were in the audience and you'd had a few drinks, or your eyesite wasn't very good, or you were tearing up with pride, then this is what you would have seen after I accepted my award and Crafty had me talk a bit about the club:

I'm not sure how many of these I'll be lucky enough to win in the future, but it was a fun night.

I guess a well deserved break in training is due. Well done Matty, great stuff.
