Hi folks,

So Hayden, Mark and I rode 3 gorges on Saturday (introduced to the club by Tim Briers I think). They are keen to join, however I wasn't able to immediately answer their membership question. I have read: http://dhbc.org.au/join-dhbc.html.

I have a couple of questions:
Does the $198 Elite membership through the CA website cover 15 months membership to CA and DHBC?
If not, does anyone know when the price will be updated? If so, has the cost dropped this year, from $286 last year?
Also, is the web enquiry form on the join-dhbc page sufficient with emergency contact, or can someone shoot me form/link for any particular info required by DHBC itself?

Thanks,
Ant.

I think the membership is a 6 month membership (till Dec 31 2012)

the 15 month 2013membership opens on Oct 1

They just need to join through CA and when asked which club, they pick DHBC from the drop down list.

Membership covers both CA and DHBC.

I'm not sure about the price changes because that is all set by CA except for amount that goes to us which is $10 from memory. Whatever it says on their website at present is the price and we haven't been notified of any price changes. The membership year ends on 30 December for racing (Gold) licenses.

I'm not sure if that contact email is working. They can email me if they wish (see the President link on the front page).

Does that answer the questions?

If you join now it's half price till 31/12 for gold (race) licences. If you wait till 1/10 its 15 months for the price of 12 for a gold license. I think you'll need to call CA to get the discounted rate as the website only does full year membership.

It's always 12-15 months for silver licences, depends when you join but its basically yr to yr from the quarter you join in.

Ok thanks all, I'll let them know to hold out until 1/10/12. Do they need to submit a form with emergency contacts etc in the interim?

If they are going to ride with us probably a good idea. But doesn't cover them for anything.
