Hi folks,
I was just wondering if anyone was interested in doing this ride? The ride has a total climbing of 3296m so it's no walk in the park. I did it a few years ago and it was great.

Tallowa Dam 200 - the ride of the damned
A challenging ride over the escarpment from Dapto and down into Kangaroo Valley to the Tallowa Dam and return to Dapto.

That looks like a great challenge Adrian but that happens to be the day my baby is due. I'll put it in the diary for next year. Hope you find some other DHBCers to join you.

Me please! I'm not fit enough for it yet, but would hope to be by the 12th if I'm to be ready for the ACE.

Oh, that's a shame Elwri. (I address you by your secret Rivendale name.) I was hoping you'd be up for it. Anyhoo, I'm sure Adrian and I will have fun. Have been hankering for Kangaroo Valley for a while now. One pass in a day would have done me, but what the hey. Am committed. Have been emailing with Grant and all. I'm sure Foulbourn will be great too. The "F" was a total typo but I'm loving it! Never again shall I call it anything else!

I'm kind of keen.

What is the profile like? And how are people getting to/from Dapto?

the stats are all on the link Adrian put up.

I was thinking I'd catch the train, but haven't looked into times yet. If it's a problem I'll just drive (& have 1 spot in the car).

Thanks Camilla,

Never noticed the 'Show Profile' on Bikely. Macquarie Pass is @ 25km :!: . Never ridden it but looks like a good challenge in itself.

I checked the route and notice a number of possible short cuts, otherwise I'm not sure I'd be attempting it at the moment!

I'm passing on this one.

My bike is still out of action (in the shop) and my training lately has involved copious amounts of beer and riding the sofa. I'm pretty sure those two main climbs will end me!

Also waiting for Wiggle to send me my new Ultegra 12-28 cassette to make climbs like that more comfortable.

Hi Camilla,
I would LOVE a lift if you have space.
Cheers
Adrian
