Had a fun day out with the Waratahs on Sunday. The Southern Hemisphere Cup brings riders from all over for a very well run meet.

Weather was nice and cool and there were big fields, especially in A and B.

Got on the podium for 3rd in E grade after a great full length of the straight sprint fest.

Was my first time experimenting with a heart rate monitor - very interesting. As one of my competitors said - only worry if it flat lines!

As usual, the Waratah club did a mammoth job in putting on a terrific morning.

Had a pre race briefing with John Mason at sign on, and also saw a flash of another DHBC jersey out on the track. Ran into Andre who now races with Lidcombe Auburn I think.

Next for me is the Ashfield Cycles/ Specialized Cup on Monday 7th October at Eastern Creek Full circuit.

Come and give it a go!

Ernie Smith took this pic and has allowed it to be used in our Forum. Thanks Ernie.

Not only is Pete on the podium, he's the best look'n on the podium [must be the anti wrinkle cream that's used to improve aerodynamics]

Congratulation's Pete, awesome effort.

The winner looks like a bit of a burglar in the grade to me! Where's the race report Petey.
