Hi all.

I know that last year I saw a post about a few DHBC doing this ride.
Has anyone put their name down yet?
Thinking of taking the family down there for a ride/holiday.
Also, how hard is the Skenes Creek Climb? - 3 Gorges hard?

Thanks.

Hi Beejay,

It's long rather than hard. I'm sure someone can write here about the %'s etc. but yeh, it's long with little to no reprieve.

The ride is well worth it though. Amazing scenery, closed roads and friendly atmosphere.

Andrew Belford is organising a group / house etc. We're out this year due to lack of holidays.

The climb is about 10k's at an avg of about 5% - never steep. http://theclimbingcyclist.com/climbs/gr ... reek-road/

It's a great ride and guaranteed headwinds out the back of the course :-)
