Inspired by Philemon Daniel's exploration, this Saturday Phil and I are going to ride to Palm Beach, catch the 9.00am ferry to Ettalong and ride home via Mt White and Bobbin Head at 28s/cruisey pace, regrouping at the top of climbs.
We'll leave Marrickville at 6.00am, Palm Beach is about 55km so we should have time for a snack before the ferry :)
Ettalong back to Marrickville is about 120km so hopefully we should be home 3.30pm if we keep lunch at Pie In The Sky brief.
This is a challenging ride. Bring 2 bidons, 2 spare tubes, pump, cycling license and money for pies. The ferry costs $13.
This is not a club sanctioned ride.
Have a great ride,

2. Peter B

That's a big day.
You gotta make the ferry on time or you have to kick your heels for an hour or so.
Have fun!

I might come up to Palm beach and then turn back - gotta be home by 12ish. That would work right?

Man that ride looks awesome. Wish I could be there. Just too much for my average Saturday I'm afraid. Enjoy

I know I need to do this for Fitz's preparation. Will see how I am after my friend's birthday party.... 'bobbin head' might come before Mount White!

great ride guys, thanks for the company. I nailed some good pr's around Mooney Mooney so I'm thrilled. Good to learn I'm not as out of form as I thought I was. I may tell a different story after the Fitz!

Some pics, for thems that wants them.

I so wish I could have done this. I would be up for a re-run on a Sunday.
Definitely jealous.
