The NRS team would like to invite members of the club who are looking to push themselves to come along to some of our training rides. The team likes to mix it up and do something different every week so I will try and post our planned rides on this forum as early as possible.

THIS WEEK:

THURSDAY – Broome St hill repeats, meeting at Marrickville Rd Square @ 5.30am. Brisk pace over to Broome st Maroubra, then 6 x 2-3 minute hard efforts at your own pace followed by a brisk pace back to Marrickville.

FRIDAY - A casual paced ride over to LaPerouse returning along the beaches starting with coffee at double roasters cafe on Victoria Rd at 5.30am - This is a no drop ride

NEXT WEEK:

WEDNESDAY – Eastern suburbs hills meeting @ 5.30am at Marrickville Rd Square.

Hi James, What time do you estimate getting back to Marrickville on the Thursday ride this week?

Should be back in Marrickville by 7.30 at the very latest, will most likely be earlier than that.

Just so everyone knows what a casual paced ride looks like for the NRS, this will be about the same pace as Wednesday La Pa.

I'd be keen to join this Friday's LaPa "cruise". Will the ride still go ahead if it's wet / damp?

I will still be riding if the roads are wet as long as it not raining. Any rain and it's probably better to stay in bed.

NRS team,

Is there a way that you could communicate to people who may wish to join your rides whether a ride will proceed in inclement weather?

I would like to join you tomorrow, but am reluctant to make my way to the meeting point at 5:30am if it's wet, cold and there's no-one there.

Cheers
Paul

The coffee ride will be on the first Friday of each month. I will put a reminder on this forum.

Thanks to the people who showed up this morning, hopefully better luck with the weather next month. Will look into a way of cancelling the ride in bad weather for next time, probably through Facebook.

This Week:
The NRS Team Training ride for this week will be a Wednesday eastern suburbs hills ride meeting at 5.30am at the square on Marrickville Rd. Just a word of warning, this is suited to stronger riders as it will be a fast paced ride with minimal waiting at the top of hills. We will regroup completely after the last hill, Bellevue hill. There are a plenty of options for shortcuts so take a look the course below. Some shortcuts include skipping Olala/Wentworth and/or Bellevue hill.

Next Week:
Intervals in Centennial Park on Wednesday meeting at 5.30am at the square on Marrickville Rd. This will be a better option for riders of mixed fitness as everyone can do the efforts around the park at there own pace.

Thanks James. It was good to push that little bit harder than the normal club rides this morning.
Hopefully doing this sort of thing once or twice a week will continue!

Hey Raph,
I intend to go to CP on Wed 23rd. I was just thinking to ride around for an hour at tempo/threshold; see how I'm feeling, will leave Marrickville post at 6am.
I will probably do some intervals/sprints next Wednesday.
cheers

Hey guys

Just to keep you informed, I won't be able to commit to regular weekly riding so won't be able to organise training rides in the immediate future. I will post on here if the NRS team has anything organised otherwise keep up the riding.

See you out on the road.

James
