Gannons Road Repairs

Marrickville Council has listed Gannons Road for re-surfacing on the night of Sunday 31 January. That's the road from the roundabout to the Princes Highway near Tempe station.

The road surface has been pretty crappy there recently. The notice doesn't indicate whether they will be fixing the infamous (and possibly heritage listed) bumps at the roundabout on Unwins Bridge Road.

Might be worth watching for signs in case they change the date and time. At the moment it won't be in the way of rides.

And how good was it today to find all the bumps and holes at the roundabout fixed.

What a delight it was 'up Gannon to the Princes'. I was pleasantly surprised by a number of resurfaced roads on the Waterfall route over the weekend. One particularly of note was the resurfacing of pretty much the whole rough patch on the return side of the captain cook bridge! It's always been iffy coming off the bridge with a bit of pace into the holey bit on the bend.
