Sunday 6th March Waratah Masters crit will be at the best crit circuit in Sydney, the full GP course at Eastern Creek Raceway: 4k's of smooth 12m wide hot mix.

Trouty & I will be there racing D grade. All grades (A to E) start at 7:00am. Sign-on on the day for $15. You'll need a racing licence and men need to be 30+ this year but for women it's all ages.

The perfect venue to start crit racing. See you out there.

Bump. This coming Sunday folks. Put your racing license to good use and come show the club colours at the best crit track in Sydney. No bell required.

Trouty is now out as she's doing the women's series instead. I'll be flying the flag in D grade.

Stuart's Race Report:
Position - Not stone motherless last but pretty close to it.

A big field of about 45 D graders for the 60 mins + one lap race. Started out pretty easy but by lap 3 the pace picked up. I did some work on the front to fly the flag as only DHBCer in D grade. 5 riders went off the front using the passing C grade to their (illegal) advantage and they stayed away till the prime and then were brought back into the main bunch. Another 5 went off the front and Waratahs did their best to stop anyone chasing them.

A LACC rider & myself did some turns to bring them back but that effort saw me go from the front to back of the main bunch. Then it was just trying to not get dropped entirely. Last lap I got on the wheel of a strong looking fem (no club kit so who knows) coming around turn 18 in a good position but couldn't hold her wheel at all and then got passed by 95% of the field before the line.

Great safe racing and lots of fun. I encourage more DHBCers to try racing.
