I'll be riding northside on Saturday, feel free to come along.

The route i'm proposing is as follows:

https://www.strava.com/routes/6585614 (c. 9 gorges)

It's about 230k with 4000ish meters of climbing.

Alternativly we can do a shorter route if that sounds too ambitious.

https://www.strava.com/routes/6591880 (c. 5 gorges)

This one is 174ks with about 3000m of climbing.

Some of those who are coming along will be turning around after Brooklyn, I will be continuing on via Mount White depending on the route people are happy to do.

The route is out and back, if people are struggling there are a few climbs (i.e. Berowra and Galston) we can cut out of the ride however please be prepared for a long-ish day.

Further details as follows:

Start: Marrickville post office square at 5:30am, 5:45am at wattle st.

Route: Let me know your preference, we can always make a call at Mooney Mooney Creek as the 2 routes are the same up until that point.

Pace / effort: C28s, no drop

Distance: max ~220km min ~174km

Elevation gain: max ~4,000m min ~3000m

Finish: Not sure, but it's basically an all day ride, I would estimate that it is probably 9 hours + breaks for the full route so we would be back at Marrickville mid to late afternoon. If we do the shorter route we will be back earlier.

Notes: Please bring 2 x spare tubes, pump, water, snacks + money for coffee / lunch / pie / refreshments

AndrewM. Meeting top of enmore Rd @ 5:37.

I might turn around early. Regardless, could I suggest not riding to Kariong? It's not a particularly nice climb, and it is infested with anti mamil Gosford types.

Cool Andrew, I have not ridden further than Mooney Mooney Creek so have not experienced that bit of the route. I just wanted to get the climb in that comes after you cross Mooney Mooney Creek as it feels like a shame to turn around at the bottom of a climb ... unless that is the climb you are talking about in which case I'll turn around at that point then.
