Joanne & I will be doing Waterfall on this coming Sat 19/4 as we can't make it Sunday & our France / Mt Ventoux trip edges ever closer! We will be leaving Mick Mazza's at 06:15 (weather permitting) if any one else is interested - pace will be medium (we normally average about 27-28kph).

Please reply here or message me as if there are no other takers we'll just leave straight from home.

To see why we need the training here's Mount Ventoux info - The Giant of Provence!

OK Matt - It looks like it's just us three so if nobody else says yes, we'll swing past your place at 06:15 and go from there to save us all the ride to Mazza's - what's the number?

Hey stuart

I hear that if you go past Mick Mazza's at 6.30 you can pick up the slowies and take them to Waterfall or drop them at Brighton le sands.

I would like to go as far as Sutherland if it isn't wet as I have to be at Bondi by 9am.

Bill mate - we won't be picking up any slowies as if they wanted to go to Waterfall I'm sure they would prefer to start out on a Sunday with Lindsay to guide them. We just want to get a long ride in this weekend as my brother is getting married on Sat 'arvo. Therefore Sunday will not be a good look for riding for us. That's also why we want to leave at 06:15 as we need to be back ASAP to get ready for the wedding.

So, assuming it actually fines up sufficiently, which looks unlikely as I type this, we'll be leaving Mick Mazza's at 06:15 if you are a starter? What's your mobile so we can SMS you if we decide it's too wet?

Matt - we'll SMS you as well but if Bills' a starter it's back to Mick Mazza's as the start point. Or how about cnr Warren Rd and Illawarra Rd at 06:20 and we'll still pick up Matt at 06:15?

Stuart,

My number is 0425206724 or you can post info on this tread.

I have cancelled my meeting at 9am so I could go all the way to Waterfall.
I go past your house in the morning so I could meet you there at around 6.15am.

Beware of DUCATI riders near the RNP turn off.

What about Cronulla?

I know that some slowies were interested in going to Cronulla.

Stuart mate, not all who ride on Saturdays slowies are slow.

William I understand that, especially as I am only just above slowie status myself (hence the medium pace qualifier!) - I got the joke (or I thought it was a joke) but I don't think that many people arrive at slowies on Sat prepared to go to Waterfall, or Sutherland or even Cronulla for that matter!

There is a "Sunday Step-up" group that are working their way towards Waterfall - led by Simon Sharwood - who go out with the slow group on Sunday - see the link several below this.

Edit: Now I see that you mean that there may be people who don't read this Forum and may want to come with - man am I slow or what! Well, we need to leave earlier so for this week we'll have to pass but will keep in mind for Sat 3/5 when we'll be doing this again.

As for tomorrow - well, if it ever stops raining I expect to see you outside #1 Arlington @ 06:10 so we can pickup Matt @ 06:15

We will SMS both of you at 05:45ish with the go/no-go decision.
