Jo & I are going to do the Loop the lake charity ride again this year with a couple of Jo's friends. Had a nice ride last year and the course is fairly challenging (for me anyway).

Date: Sun 8th March 2009
Location: Lake Macquarie
Distance: 85k's
Entry: $35 early or $40 on the day

We go up the night before and last year stayed at a motel 3k's from the start that let us leave our cars and bags there and then let us back in our rooms to have a shower before going home.

Any takers?

I'm in - if its half as good as the JW Classic, it will be a great ride. Also easy to get a B&B up there for Tracy to come up the night before in the VAN

The place Stuart and I stayed last year and where we will stay again is as below. Prices start from $140 per room, on the website, but I remember paying less than that last time, so maybe they had a special on. Anyway as Stuart said - it was great to be able to leave your bags and car at the hotel and have a shower after the ride. Hmm...Insomniac and Matt - I might be keen <to ride part of the way up on Sat> but depends how far of the way we are talking.

Took clients out to watch tennis yesterday so I was buggered, and slept in. Obviously I was still half a sleep as that message I wrote didnt even make sense. What I meant to say was that I might be interested in riding part of the way up to Loop the lake (Stuart definately wont), but it depends how many KM you are talking as part the way.

Jo - I have no intention of riding up. If Stuart wants a lift should be cool. Tracy is intending on doing some Girl's ride from Cronulla to Homebush Bay on Sat 7th, then we'll drive up in the afternoon. BTW Slow Coach - you should be pleased that one of your students rode RNP yesterday. I rode out to Otford (all on my little own) then back down into the park to the Audley turnoff...and then it got nasty, but made it up them darn hills though! TONKA TUFF!

...a train?? Is that one of those silver carraiges that commuters ride in? I still could be interested - but let me tsleep on it for a few days and work out what we are doing Saturday before the ride. MATT - No worries you can get a lift with us coming home.

TO INSOMNIAC:
Good work grasshopper, now you can be the new slow coach. Stuart will be driving up regardless as we need a car to carry the 10 suitcases I will pack to stay one night.

So, besides Michael & Tracy, is anyone else a starter for LTL?

If there are others thinking of doing LTL, but getting their bike up might be an issue, I can easily transport a couple of bikes besides ours up to Lake Macquarie.
