Ever thought you'd like to try ice speed skating?
Grab the opportunity in September's Give it a Go month
Take a FREE speed skate school lesson on one of these nights:
Monday- 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th or Thursday 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

Why Speed Skate?
It will:
• Firm and tone your body
• Increase your concentration
• Improve your muscle flexibility
• Increase your leg, stomach and back strength
• Increase your endurance
• Improve your aerobic health - heart, lungs.

What do I need to wear?
Close-fitting clothes that cover your arms and legs. A long-sleeved T-shirt or track suit would be good.
We can offer you loan equipment such as a helmet and knee pads, or you can bring your own.

What about the skates?
You can wear the normal hire skates or borrow from our supply of speed skates.
Speed skates have longer blades which make it easier to glide over the ice.
What time can I skate?

Mondays 6.00 to 7.00pm
Thursdays 6.30 to 7.15pm

To get the benefits, you don't have to become a great skater or even go really, really fast. Gliding across the ice is easy on your body.
Lessons are given by qualified coaches.

What will I learn?

In your basic lesson you will learn how to:
• Glide and push
• Stop safely
• Go smoothly around corners.
More advanced skills can be learnt at further lessons.

and i'm there monday and thursday from 5:45. so i'm more than happy to sharpen skates if you get there early too.

just rock up.
but come down in September. you can do august, but you'll have to pay. $16 i think, and that includes skate hire.
