Great Southern Crossing Challenge: Ride 5,200km in November
Posted: 15 Oct 2015, 09:45
Hi All,
Further to Douglas' post here, the Stepping Stone House are out to raise some funds through the Great Southern Crossing Challenge. This is a virtual challenge for teams to attempt to ride 5,200km across Australia from Brisbane to Perth and raise money in the process. It begins on 1st Nov.
I have set up a DHBC team and am hoping I can prevail on some members to join up, especially those who ride hundreds of kilometres on the weekends! It costs nothing to join and there is no minimum fundraising target.
It all links to Strava so it is very easy to track your km's.
The team page is here:

If you do not want to join you are welcome to donate instead.
Stepping Stone House
Established in 1989, Stepping Stone House is a not for profit organisation providing medium to long term accommodation, care and development for homeless and at risk NSW young people aged 12 to 24 years old. Our aim is to develop their self-esteem, resilience, self-confidence and good health through motivational experiential learning including outdoor education and adventure so that they achieve responsible independence. We give these young people a reason to believe and to live!
