Today I met a new club member Gary Jenkins. He is the grandson of Percy Fitzgibbons who was a foundation member of the DHBC back in April 1908.

Percy Fitzgibbons was a Dulwich Hill resident at the time but moved out of the area in the decades that followed. His son Ken Fitzgibbons was also a member of the DHBC, and despite moving out of area, in his later years Ken harboured fond memories of the club and his mates. Ken wrote this poem about the DHBC, probably remembering it's early years in the 1930s.
