S Works Track Bike.. size 56.. dura ace track cranks 170.. dura ace high flange hubs laced to velocity rims.. $1500
Zipp 606 tubular wheelset.. 58f.. 81r.. 1400g.. have completed two half and two full ironmans only.. $1100
Erox Ultra Speed tubular wheelset.. 85mm f and r.. bought from a friend 3months ago, have approx 700k on them only.. 1690g.. $800
..tyres - used, clusters not included.. pedals not included.. both wheelsets shimano compatible..

The valve extender on the Zipp front wheel could almost be another spoke....

Even with cross wind and handling challenges, there's still aero power advantages for the legs. Jo will be unbeatable now.

I will be too scared to use these on the bike every day, possibly pull them out 4 times a year when I have an important event but that's about it. I have always wanted to know what it feels like to ride them though. I figured they were a good deal so it's best to snap them up, and I would never think about buying new ones. Now I have to learn how to glue tubilars on.

Don't forget to buy some carbon specific brake pads. I've read good things about the Zipp cork pads. I've been using the other Zipp Carbon/Carbon pads on my wheels with good results.

A much much more sensible buy than that other option. I don't know how you'll feel on them but I can always hear the loud whoosh... whoosh... of someone riding them.
Next you'll need to rebuild the rear with a PowerTap hub!

Yes - it seems all the books and any one doing coaching or plans won't touch you without a power metre these days. Maybe in 5 years time they will make it cheap enough for the average rider to have one.
