The Global Cycling Network or GCN posted a new video on their Youtube channel.
They do a rather quick comparison of old and new technology. Not scientifically based, more fun than anything else. They got hold of 1987 TdF winner Steven Roache's actual Battaglin bike.
The biggest changes are the weight and stiffness of the frame, geometry, comfort and gearing. I can vouch for the last, as my limited 6 cog rear cluster is a bugger to lug up steep hills and can't buy easier clusters that suit. They are all designed for super strong 20-something pro riders.
