What should i be eating before a ride? which is every morning just about, so pretty much what should i have for breakfast. Im all good with after it, but working out before.

Porridge, or oats are the best option?

At the moment im having stuff that is a bit like just right, and instead of milk im using yoghurt, it seems to be ok, but i still get a bit hungry.

Today i had 7 weetbix as i wasnt riding, but looked at the back and it looked like maybe its got alot of carbs, which is pretty much what im after i think. I also drink a certain amount of gatoraide sorta stuff, which was recomended by the AIS site, as it helps with the first part of the rides energy, which is the suger etc.

But yes, i want plain simple answers. Should i be trying to work out how to do porridge? would weetbix be ok? or is there another option? maybe some thing with a banana?

You can get Dextrose and Maltodextrin cheaper from homebrew shops.

It's no joke. It can happen to people with kidney problems.

we make our own muesli which has been pretty popular.

3 cups of oats (rolled or quick)
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup pepitas
2 tblsp honey

mix together and spread on a couple of trays lined with baking paper. Cook in the oven for 15-18 mins at 160C
when cool add a cups of sultanas and or chopped figs, apricots
