heffron today
Perfect.... a spew up is a great sign that you have given it you're all. Well done Hugo. Finally a podium finish.it wasnt that nice, we had a block headwind for the majority of the course. I was so exhausted I threw up immediately post race, but it was worth it. I finished third!
now I need to decide what to spend my 10 bucks on...
great day A grade was slow though i still got dropped.. i was sitting on a big easts guy that got dropped he was great till he left ten metres for me to catch i reckon i could have made it to about 4 to go.
I have never seen such a happy 3rd place there hugo..

Hello Hugo,
I was the 4th placed (not angry or wingeing) rider in todays RBCC D Grade race.
With only 5 riders in todays race, I was a bit disappointed only 3 did any meaningful work on the front, especially in the strong wind. I did try to offer you some advice during the race as to the fact that we'd all find it easier if the work was shared.
But anyway, congratulations on your third place.

See here is where you fail. How many 16yr olds do you know that take advice? Not even his father can give him advice, that he disregarded you is not news to me. Besides, he puked after the race and walked back to the start point proving he was pushing way beyond his limit. He will learn but in saying that there is nothing like a little verbal to keep his mind on the job.I did try to offer you some advice
A very strong headed 16 years old and we all know that. Good third.
Puke is typically induced by a short hard effort eg. Sprint at the end.

I will get back there one day, when I get a bit more confidence. Both races I've done at Heffron....weren't pretty. Mark Hales and I rode to the Tennis centre today and raced with Waratah Vet's which I felt was more my level, and a bit more enjoyable than Heffron. I think I will stick to that a few more times. I will definitely race this Thursday night...so see you there....or it could have just been the tummy bug I got yesterday and not really eating anything today, I dont really care ither way.
when are you going to be back there?
You are getting so much stronger in a short space of time. Keep it going.
