NSW Hillclimb Championhip Report
While watching the Paris to Roubaix I thought I might write a small report on how I went on my first outing in Bathurst. Not knowing what to expect I relied on a few friends that have done it before to tell me the best way on how to ride the 4km course. It was suprisingly mild for this time of year and there were alot of riders competing. By the time I headed off a head wind had picked up which made my go quite hard. I started off strong but by the time I hit the hill I was quite exhausted. This hill didn't seem to end and being a 1st timer I struggled reaching the top. I finally reach the top and it flattens out a bit in which I manage to finish strongly. Summing up, I would say that the hill would be the worst and hardest I have ever climbed by far. I was spent by the finish as were alot of other riders. Age Group: MMAS2; Finishing time: 14.31; distance: 4.1km. Fastest time of the day: 8.54 in the U23 group.
Well done Manny!
That climb is a chainbreaker, can't imagine a headwind as well.
Double congratulations.
