Hi there,
I recently visted the Bourke Street Bakery in Marrickville which has opened on Mitchel St, Marrickville (in the industrial area just off Victoria Rd). There is nowhere to lock one's bike up at the bakery (not even a street pole).
I've set up this online petition to encourage the management to install some bike rails at the front of the popular bakery/cafe. I think they need a nudge here, but it should be good for their business.
Please sign the petition here:

Thanks

Thanks Victoria.
It would be awesome if heaps of club members could sign it.
I've stuck some photos of the current problem on sydneycyclist.com

Thanks Chris,
The rest of you... please sign!!!
I really want to get a lot of signatures before presenting the petition to the management. There was a recent study on Lygon st in Melb that found the value of bicycle parking for retailers was $31 per sq metre per hour, compared with $7 per sqare metre an hour is that space was dedicated to car parking.
A couple of other stats you may be interested. In Sydney there is are 2 million cars for a population of approx 4.5 million people. For every car in sydeny there are two carparking spaces i.e. 4 million car parking spaces (52 square kilometers of carparking). Just imagine how useless cars would be if there was no space dedicated for parking them? Why should it to be any different with bicycles?

I signed. I will have to go there. I have walked up there a few times but they have been closed or were closing. But there is quite a crowd when I have passed when it is open.
