Hey every one, entries for teams close soon, so we need to have teams entered. Give us a yell if any one vets etc need any help deciding on teams, or if you want to be in one. As ussual a lot of the deciding will be done at the track during training.

Elite 17 and 19's and masters teams close on the 13th of feb.

I can be tempted to get a racing license if a female team is short 1 rider...

I am probably not awfully fast on the track right now but if we get a female team together and someone tells me what training to do I will do it.

Is there enough interest for 2 elite mens teams? Would be fun to see lots of riders racing, doesn't matter too much how organised the second team is it will be alot of fun and a good experience!!

I am interested.
* Vic, if you want to do it you'll have to enter us.
* Liz, just get a license already and stop waiting for a specific event, enter all events you have time for, it's more fun this way!

If you want to race this you would have to get registered very soon, if you do so i guess we have to have try outs for the team? if not it looks like there are only three riders, we will leave it up to each team to sort them selves out past this point though. Jess is in vietnam, so team members can contact her through the forum or facebook.

Are all vet teams cool?

Cool pat, we need to talk to the beer boys, it looks like simon is riding A, as John will be at a wedding, we will try and work on a second team at the track on monday at the track.

Tim when is Jess back?

I'll be at the track on Monday. I'll take charge of organising team entry etc for the womens team. Amy any chance you can come down to the track on Monday? I guess we need to discuss things cos we only really have next week, then Tassie, then it's the week of the race.

Cool! I'm bringing my sis along to watch too, she's getting a track bike so she's going to start training soon as well (and she said she'll drive me to training, woohoo!). So we'll have another Aimee... Spelt differently but pronounced the same ;)

l've added Jonathan Gowland to the team.

So we have,
Mark L
Mike C
Joshua L
Ian D
Jonathan G

Me being the least experienced and probably the slowest, l'm ok with pulling out or being a reserve

You're the one that wanted to get the team together in the first place....seems fitting you're in it. Surely there are enough Masters men at DHBC to submit a couple of teams.

its an interesting but not amazing situation we have ended up with with the numbers, and its too late to enter another team. Ask us about it off the forum for details, the final team is still up in the air though, will be decided at the track im guessing.

Anyway, Lets have a Penny Pursuit to make up for it.

There will be two strong hunter district teams (assuming they will put the 19's up) in the elite. I wish we were at full strength :(

HELP !!!!!!

My parts order has gone astray.

Currently I have a 125mm stem on the track bike. I have 25.4mm handlebars and I have a 80mm stem that is oversize, I think that's 31.8mm.

Please please please can someone lend or sell me one of the following items;
70 - 100mm 25.4mm stem
or
Oversize handlebars

Mike is your steerer 1 inch or 1 & 1/8th?

If you need a 100mm AHead stem for 1 inch steerer & 26mm bars, you can have mine. It's on the Bundy track bike which I will probably be selling.

Thanks Toff, its 1 & 1/8 so not compatible

James F is bringing down to the track some oversize alloy bars, which I'll match to my 80mm road stem, so hopefully I have a solution

Great work every one, incase no one posts up results, the juniors did really well, missed out on the bronze medal ride off by 1 second! the masters did a really good time, and looked good as a team (im assuming mike will write an essay up, so i wont say any more). DHBC 1 and 2 got silver and bronze, a great first ride by the beer boys and pattrick at a state eam event (far out how did james do that?! we all have a lot to learn offhim and simon about lifting for events!!) and the a team missed a gold by 0.095 seconds :( after qualifying fastest by three seconds. Now let us never mention this night again :)

DHBC 1 - Tim, Alex, Simon and Matt did an amazing job in the final at no time was there more than 1 second in it. On the last lap DHBC was 0.4 behind and they pulled back 0.3 of that. So close.....

DHBC 2 - pulled a good time, pity there was no one racing against them

Masters - We targeted 3m45s for the 3000mtrs and did 3m38s, putting us 16s behind the winners 42s ahead of last. Will be interest to see where we came out of the 23 teams entered

Well the results are out and I can confirm that the Masters team came 10th, we were pipped for 7th by 1 second and was 9 seconds off 4th place.

There were 2 teams whose time was slower than Deckers and my ITT times at the 2009 UCI Masters track championships and I suspect that with our improvements since then we would of bet a 3rd team.

Dulwich Hill 2, sorry guys our average speed just pipped you, but of course you did 4,000 and we did 3,000
