And I've already set up the DHBC team... So go ahead and join!
Just a note to everyone about the website. Donations can be submitted (eg. $100), but then you can nominate to have that paid as 10 x monthly installments ($10 per month). Therefore, the impact of donating $100 is lessened.
So my challenge to you all is this: There is still 12 months to go until the next Ride to Conquer Cancer. For those who think raising $2500 is too much of a challenge, hit up friends and family for monthly donations of $10-$50 over 10 months and you'll be amazed how quickly you can raise the funds.
And don't forget they are tax deductible come July next year...

Just a reminder it is 5 months until the Ride to Conquer Cancer 2013. I have set up a DHBC team and we currently have 8 members. It would be great to see a couple more.
For those who are concerned about raising $2500, don't be. Just a few emails to friends, family and work colleagues and you'll be surprised at how easy it is. The beauty of the website is that you can donate a sum and break it up into monthly instalments. For example, you could ask someone to donate $100 and split it up into 5 monthly instalments of $20.
I and a few others did it last year and it was a great weekend away. I thoroughly recommend it.

The White Princess (who is she do you all say?) is Conquering Cancer in 2013. Please help me by donating on the following link.
Thank you in advance.

A few photos from the ride today. Laura, Michelle, Cam, Phil and myself met up at the start and rode together for part of the ride (including Laura and Michelle's mate Peter, affectionately known as 'Podge').
I also bumped into Platts-Baggs (MtbAnt) before the start of the ride. I didn't see Noel unfortunately.
Due to my recent illness I decided not to ride tomorrow and Christian picked me up after today's ride of 110km (18km from home to the start line).
The start line:

Hi Folks
I have recently joined DHBC and wanted to post to say a big thank you to all the members here who rode the RTCC or donated to other riders.
I work at the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse (the benficiary of the ride), so I can assure you that the money is going to a very good cause. We are all working hard towards opening the new hospital next month - and it just wouldn't be possible with the support of the RTCC (which has raised over $10 million in the last two years).
I also rode the RTCC myself (with the Lifehouse team) and I would encourage any members who may be thinking about doing it next year to give it a go. It is a very well organised (and catered!) event and heaps of fun.
Cheers
Mark
