Dulwich Hill spotted
Riding from Bundanoon to Marulan on a hot and windy day, I saw an elegant paceline coming towards me with 2 Bernard beer suits and a couple of DHBC jerseys flapping in the breeze. Well, I just saw the paceline and rode down the middle of the road, waved and yelled out "Dulwich Hill" on the off-chance. It was Matt, John, Alex and James riding back from Melbourne.
They turned round and came back for a quick chat before heading on to Bundanoon for their last night on the road.
They looked super skinny with a harrowed look in their eyes, so if you see them at Marrickville Road Cafe, feed them please.

Cheers Norm. Couldn't you have spotted me riding people off my wheel on some epic climb instead?

Spotted Lizanne in centennial park with a multi geared bike! Isn't using gears cheating???!!!
Given that I first spotted Anthony at La Per this morning and he was on his way to work and then saw him again at 7.30ish in Cammeray, presumably on the way home - that makes a long day!Spotted Eleri ( actually she spotted me first) heading North on West St Cammeray.
I'd just come back from a tour of the beaches, checking out the surf (on my bike). I know that sounds unlikely.
Spotted Tim C on the Bourke Road Cycleway this evening. I was in a car so couldn't yell. He was drafting off another commuter and they both passed a chap going the other way in a suit on a white fixie. Wish I had a photo of that chap!

Jake, today, at about 5:50am in the half-light on Bourke Rd - he was turning east, I was heading south...
A bit late, but... Around 6:40pm Thu, still in peak hour traffic on Victoria Rd going south, just before the T junction in Rozelle. A rider riding in the middle lane and braving all the heavy traffic. Absolutely fearless. Who else could it be but our Jimmy! Confirmed when I drove past but too dangerous to try to call. No distraction permitted.
Hence the reason I've stopped wearing DHBC Jersey on the commute. I'll stick to my Generic Jerseys that aren't going to bring Shops or Clubs into the spotlight.A bit late, but... In the city yesterday I said "hi Jo" as I rode past a cyclist waiting for the lights, only to realise as I passed that it wasn't you

Just read an enticing review of a book co-authored by Charles Pickett, DHBC member and regular with the C28s.

Thanks Eleri, I appreciate the mention.
Unfortunately that review is not the best (written by someone with the proverbial axe to grind). There are several (hopefully) better reviews of Designer Suburbs in the pipeline tho.
In the meantime here is another story re Designer Suburbs:

Spotted John M up Enmore Rd. Yelled hello but can understand if he didn't recognize me not on a bike and running with a dog.

Nah not me, currently I'm only crossing SHB on Thursday mornings (both directions)
This morning me and Anthony Pham were sitting at Sutherland waiting for our lad Matt to buy bananas, watching the cyclists go by, and a lad was coming towards us with a black thing on his helmet. I asked Anthony if he thought it was a mountain biker, or one of those crazy ride to work road warriors. It turned out to be a camera, and it was Stuart from this club! we also saw Jo, his partner earlier riding with brats.
(There was another lad that went past while we were sitting there in a jersey, but didn't know his name.

This morning at CP I had a bonanza of spotting
- Kerry at Redfern, we chatted about women's racing and the state of women's soccer;
- Trouty - she sledged me for being short! Looked in a mirror lately?
- Matt - on his way back from the East chatted briefly before he turned off at the Randwick gates which gave me an idea of a new way to get home.
- Miguel - said hello and kept going.
None of us in club kit as it happens so good spotting all round.

On my way to Juniors track Training on Wednesday evening I saw Geoff S on the tandem riding down Fraser St Marrickville at an impressive clip alone. I will add he was on the front alone not the back alone.......
Gave him a toot and got a wave or maybe the finger, one of the two.

Spotted this morning at Bourke St Bakery, John H (who, technically, spotted me) and Stuart (who didn't spot me). John sans cycle kit, Stuart in cycle kit. Both were looking like they were about to undertake some highly regimented and controlled carbo loading, which coincidentally was exactly what I was doing.

Spotted 'someone' on Gardeners Rd in DHBC kit at about 1:15pm today. I think it was Noel but as I was in a car being traffic and he zoomed past up the outside I can't be sure.

Lizanne — eerily silent — heading north to the SHB ramp in the Friday night darkness, with a large bag and determined look on her face. I was heading south, and yelled "lizaaaaaaaa...nnn...eeeee..." as I went.

Spotted a junior in DHBC kit and lead out rider with a Australian Cyclones top along the Muddy Creek shared path at Kyeemagh. I was the guy who pointed and yelled "SPOTTED!" as I rode past.

Looks like I got in first Mike!
Spotted:
1. Jo Troutman in the park. But given I was riding with her it probably doesn't count.
2. John Mason in the park. No need to shout spotted as we had a nice chat up the hill about Ken Dinnerville.
3. Mike Clement on Macquarie St. He got in first with the 'Dulwich Hill Spotted'... I just said hello.

The jersey gave it away
Last night I gunned it into a headwind around the airport chasing a red jersey, but when I got there it had white sleeves

I think the Bolton brothers on the Riverine cycleway, Banksia this morning around 9:30am. Assumed it was Bill will the swanky new DHBC Racing kit on?
If this continues, I say we start a "DHBC Racing Spotted" thread.

Driving down Elizabeth St this afternoon and talking about Lizanne and her Canadian skinsuit with my buddy, and then she rode past. We started talking about Jennifer Hawkins and Miranda Kerr...no such luck.
I also saw Adrian on the cobbles at Moore Park and beeped at him, but he didn't see me.

You missed Alister and John too.

Spotted Michael C riding up George Street in the city about 11:30am this morning. Would have yelled out "Dulwich Hill spotted" but my on-the-spot risk assessment prevented me. This was a good call, he might have looked at me instead of either of the two buses he was threading and ended up as strawberry jam.

And I wasn't wearing the same lycra that your saw me in at the coffee shop this morning
Crossing the bridge from Tempe park to Airport Drive at 5.40pm a rider came the other way wearing a DHBC jersey. Because it was dark I didn't identify the rider.

What's the collective noun for a bunch of bearded blokes on bikes? Any way, I saw Rhys with said bunch, hanging out waiting on the cobbles near Centennial Park.
I rode past on the way to meet MC for the 5hills ride, same as Adrian. Good ride, I love dripping sweat on rich people's hills.

I seem to fail at riding slowly to morning rides. Consequently i spend 10 minutes shivering at the side of the road waiting for the ride to start.Philip, where were you? While waiting there I saw Adrian E riding into the park, and ten minutes prior I had seen Chubbsy on a mission across Anzac Pde towards the tafe/racecourse gates of Centennial.
Do we have a female club member who rides a titanium Lynskey? I saw a lady in a red jersey similar to DHBC's at Kurnell today, but she had it covered up by a vest or a jacket of sorts and I could only see the sleeves. Pulling a good pace on her lonesome.
