Hi All,
A friend of mine from my Triathlon squad is aiming to 'Everest' Watsons Bay hill tomorrow. If successful, she will be the 3rd woman worldwide to do it and the first Kiwi.
Here are the likely stats:
Calculations 1 lap (up and down to Belah ave)
dist: 1.5km
ascent: 50 - 55m elevation
time: 6mins going easy
Everesting 8900m
161 - 178 x up and down
dist: 241 - 267km
time: 15.5 - 18hours
Not sure I'll make it down there yet but if anyone does say 'G'day'. She is @debinz on Instagram.
Crazies.
Jo
Thursday 31st July: Everesting
she must be starting early, If any one's doing the MC5 hills they'll see her.

Good luck to her.
The thought of climbing Watsons Bay 170 times is more than a little bewildering.
Have a great ride,
Peter

I don't think that was her. She's on her BH roadie but BondiFit were all riding with her this morning. You probably saw one of the other girls who were there as moral support.
She's still going FYI. 3,500m down.

Waiting for her to post on Strava. And here it is! Looks like she did more than she needed to.
