Howdy Clubsters
I’m looking for a favour.
To avert an impending mid-life crisis I’m off to Vietnam on a cycling holiday on my own from 22 October. I return on 1 November.
Phil Le Masurier did this ride last year and told me how great it was. Details here and I think there might still be places if you are interested: http://www.rideandseek.com/local/vietnam I went to an information night recently and one of the previous tour participants said that he had cycled for over 16 years, all around Europe, ridden all the notable tours, but the best week of his life on a bike was in Vietnam.
I request the loan of a decent quality travel case for the journey – preferably a hard one that can withstand treatment on an international flight. It’s not likely I’ll be travelling on a plane with a bike, (without my family), anytime soon. So I can’t really justify the expense of buying a case and finding storage somewhere in the house.
I’m travelling with Singapore airlines, one stop in Singapore, 30kg allowance, and the dimensions cannot exceed 200 x 75 x 80cm.
The case would be well looked after and I’m happy to compensate you with cash/food/wine or a combination of all three.
Thanks in advance
John Healey

I have one you are welcome to borrow (BIKND - been all over the world with nary a scratch on my bike), however I know that Neil was borrowing it at the start of November.
Provided your dates correlate you are welcome to borrow it.

Just had a look and Neil's event is on the 1st November. As I imagine he is traveling down a day or so beforehand unfortunately it won't work.
Stuart has an EVOC case though.

Hi Neil, so you no longer need it?
Jon, looks like it's free for you to use then if required.

No problem. I'm hoping to get out on a bike a bit more coming in to Spring.
Yes, it is the bees knees. It's also very easy to use so it will be a short conversation.
