Hi everyone,

On the 10th of December there will be a Ride for Nick to remember the tragic passing of one of our club mates, and my very close friend, Nick Ruygrok. Those wanting to participate, please save this date.

The ride will be at a very steady pace to make it accessible for as many people as possible.

Details such as the route are being organised now, but it will begin at 7am from Centennial Park, however DHBC riders will leave from Marrickville at 6.30am and ride to Centennial Park. The likely route will include La Perouse, the destination Nick was heading that day, and potentially end in Coogee, a special place for Nick for a number of reasons.

We're also organising a commemorative jersey where the entire purchase cost will be donated to the Amy Gillett Foundation.

For those on Facebook, the below event has been created. stay tuned for more details and I hope to see you there.

Hey everyone, link below with more details and a place to register for Nick's ride.

If you want a jersey make sure you 'buy a ticket 'every cent from the jersey sales go directly to the Amy Gillett Foundation, plus more if you're able. We've already raised over $1,400!

Don't forget that all DHBC riders will be leaving from Post Office square at 6.30am

There will be two ride options to cater for all riding abilities:

Route 1: 4km ride around Centennial Parklands
Route 2: 25km ride from Centennial Parklands to Coogee Beach via La Perouse

Both rides will be at a very steady pace to make it accessible for as many people as possible.
For those not wishing to partake in the bike ride, please join us for a breakfast BBQ at Coogee Beach from 9am.
We are also organising a commemorative jersey and a donation to the Amy Gillett Foundation - a national organisation with a mission to reduce the incidence of serious injury and death of bike riders in Australia. Click on "purchase ticket" to order a jersey.
