I was thinking of entering this race, but I'm a bit deterred by the $50 entry fee.

Hmmm, I think Mike you will find it is the AUSTRALIAN rather than the NSW Masters Road Champs wanting you to shell out 50 clams.
I'll be saving my money, it's still more economical to line up for 5 races at Heffron even if I get dropped, than this money grab.

I agree with fixed gear in that it is better value to go to HP for 5 times than going there once.
