Mens' clothing retailer Industrie is doing a promotion that works like this: spend $199 on their clothes and they'll sell you a fixie for $99.
I glanced at the bike this morning. It looks a competent bike with messenger-style brakes and white tyres and toe-clip pedals.
The deal is you pay for it in store and then pick it up somewhere as-yet unspeficied.
I need neither the clothes nor the bike but am tempted nonetheless, on the principle that the perfect number of bikes is one more than you have now ...
And of course there may some creative pooling that goes on among people who needs clothes and people who want fixies ...

ive met a guy thats selling fixies on the net for about 300 or 350, ill try and find the link, im guessing they are crap, but also that if you replace the wheels they would be good enough for any one that would normally go and buy a cell bikes bike.
